IVLP USA 2023
Kokroma founder Rewati Gurung was honoured to be selected for the IVLP program in the summer of 2023.
The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Professional meetings reflect the participants’ professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States.
During the 3 week visit arranged by IVLP, Rewati was the guest of the US State Department in Washington DC along with Social Entrepreneurs from 20 countries around the world, and further visited Manchester - New Hampshire, Minneapolis - Minnesota, and Orlando - Florida. Extending her time in the US, Rewati spent a further 10 days in Queens - NYC, exploring the cultural and business centres of New York.
